3. Safety and equipment inspection: Yes. Everyone was wearing their life jackets. Fuel tank is almost full, and oil levels are good. Fire extinguishers in good working order. Also equipped on the boat is gps, cell phone, compass, and walkie talkie. There are also charts on the boat. Inspection complete.

4. Time of departure from boat slip: Arrival at at Buckley Cove at 10:00 a.m. We left Buckley Cove at 10:30 a.m.

5. During the day's operation, did you observe any children (12 and under) not wearing life jackets while onboard a boat? If so, approximately how many?
No

6. During the day's operation, approximately how many powerboats did you interact with? We interacted with 4 powerboats.

7. During the day's operation, approximately how many jetskis (personal watercraft) did you interact with? We interacted with 2 pwcs.

8. During the day's operation, approximately how many non-powered boats (canoes, kayaks, and rafts) did you interact with? None

9. Please document your observations for the first two hours:
The first part of the day was slow. There were not that many boaters out on the water. The day was very nice. Not too hot. Everyone we did see seemed to be in a very relaxed mood.

10. Please document your observations for the balance of the day's operations:
There were a lot more boaters out in the later half of the day. We drove around trying to get their attention. There was a point when we actually anchored next to a group of other boats anchored, but to no avail were we able to spark their interest. All of the sudden there were a bunch of jet skiers every where. I don't even know where they all came from. After a while longer we decided to head back to Turner Cut to see how Jim was doing and if he needed anything. The total number of pledge cards signed and life jackets distributed were not bad for a Sunday. 40 in all.
